Fallout 4: Day 1

It’s been a while since I played a game for seven hours straight. On a weekday.

Taking that GTX 970 for a spin.

I’ll have more to say about Fallout 4 when I feel like typing instead of scavenging for supplies.

  1. Was it really 7 hours straight? Are you not including the time it took to crash or the time spent reloading the game because of some horrible game killing bug?

    • Surprisingly, amazing no. Lip syncing is pretty terrible, but I ceased caring within about five seconds of making it into the wasteland. The only bug I’ve encountered thus far is the Pip-Boy not appearing when I press Tab, and that fixed itself after saving and reloading.

  2. I don’t like the stat allocation. Mainly because I have no idea wtf I am doing. These games always tend to have some stat or another that ends up being utterly useless. And luck is one of those kinds of stats that is either mediocre or broken.

    • Yeah, it’s particularly bad this time around if you don’t plan ahead. Needing Charisma 6 to unlock the Local Leader perk to basically get a shared stash? Yeah, wish I knew that 15 hours ago. I can technically dump Perk points into Charisma to raise it, but each point I spend there is another point that could be getting me +20% damage or whatever.

      It’s weird this time around.
